Short version: we collect what the platform needs to work, we use it to run the service for your institution, and we never sell it.
What we collect.
When you contact us we store the details you submit — name, email, phone number if provided, organisation and your message. When an institution joins Skilign we create accounts for its staff and students: names, institutional email addresses and the role each person holds. As students and educators use the platform, we store the work they produce through it — assessment answers, code submissions, course progress and grades.
How we use it.
Contact inquiries are used to respond to you. Account and platform data is used to operate the service for your institution: delivering assessments, grading submissions, tracking readiness and producing the reports your TPO and management rely on. We also use aggregated usage patterns to find and fix problems, and to decide what to build next.
What we never do.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share student information with advertisers or data brokers. Student data belongs to the institution that entrusted it to us — employers only ever see what the institution chooses to show them.
Where data lives.
Skilign runs on managed cloud infrastructure. Access to production systems is restricted to the team that operates the platform, and is limited to what is needed to run and support the service.
Your choices.
If you are a student or staff member and want something corrected or removed, start with your institution's TPO or administrator — they manage accounts and data within Skilign. Institutions can request data export or deletion of their organisation's data at any time.
Changes.
If this policy changes materially, we will update this page before the change takes effect. The current version always lives here.
